Several fighters from various Asian countries participated in the bout, to represent their country, the fighters belonged from Japan, China, South Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, Mongolia, India, Thailand and Singapore.

In the third and final round, Choi truly demonstrated his advantages over the aggressive yet inexperienced Kumar by remaining patient, scrambling well, and picking his locations.
Rana, who competed against South Korean Chang Ho Lee in the bantamweight division, has an 11-1 record and has fought primarily against opponents from India. He developed his fighting techniques in the Lucknow suburbs.
Regrettably, in Shanghai’s preliminary round, Rana Rudra Pratap Singh and Sumit Kumar’s Indian squad lost in their respective weight division battles. Kumar lost a flyweight battle by decision, and Singh lost a bantamweight match by way of a stoppage. Both of the Indian MMA contenders were defeated by the South Korean opponents.
