UFC Vegas 77: Finishers to look out for on Holm vs Bueno Silva card

5. Melquizael Costa: At number five is Brazilian featherweight, Melquizael Costa. He will face Austin Lingo in the prelims of UFC Fight Night 229. Costa comes into the contest with a 19-6 record. Out of these 19 wins, seven have come by knockout and six have come by submission. Therefore, 13 finishes from 19 is a strong record. Moreover, his ability to finish fights on the ground or while striking makes him a dangerous opponent.

4. Ottman Azaitar: Moroccan lightweight Ottman Azaitar will also compete this weekend. He will face Francisco Prado on the main card. Azaitar comes into the contest with a 13-1 record. Out of these 13 wins, ten have been by knockout and two have come by submission. Therefore, Azaitar has failed to finish only one of his opponents.

3. Jack Della Maddalena: Australian welterweight Jack Della Maddalena is a late addition to the card. However, he adds some serious power to the UFC Vegas 77 card. Maddalena comes into the contest against Bassil Hafez with a 14-2 record. Eleven of these have come by knockout and two have been submission wins. Therefore, like Azaitar, Maddalena has failed to finish only one of his past opponents. Chances are, if he wins this weekend, it will be another finish.

2. Azat Maksum: Kazakh debutant Azat Maksum will face Tyson Nam in the UFC Vegas 77 prelims this weekend. The 28-year-old enters the octagon with a perfect 16-0 record. Moreover, five have been knockouts and seven have been submissions. Therefore, the fact that he is undefeated, and has both kinds of finishes, put him second on our list. He is definitely one to watch out for this weekend.

1. Genaro Valdez: At number one, we have Mexican lightweight Genaro Valdez. Valdez will compete against Evan Elder. He comes into the contest on the back of a 10-2 record. Out of this, seven have been knockout and three have been submissions. Therefore, the Mexican has a 100% finish rate. Thus, he will hope to continue his streak. The fact that he has a 100% finish rate, and has knockout and submission wins, makes him our number-one pick.

So there you have it. These are the top five finishers on the UFC Vegas 77 card other than Holly Holm and Mayra Bueno Silva. Who do you think will live up to their reputation?
