Strickland took on Nassourdine Imavov in his last fight. According to reports, the American took home a total of $321,000. This included his $200,000 base pay, $100,000 win bonus, and a $21,000 sponsorship share. Therefore, if Strickland can beat Magomedov and get a performance of the night bonus, he could earn close to $400,000 this weekend.
Magomedov, on the other, took on Dustin Stoltzfus in his last fight. And according to reports, Magomedov earns $100,000 as a base pay and $4000 as a sponsorship share. Thus, if he wins on Saturday and can get a performance of the night bonus, Magomedov could earn over $250,000.
So while Magomedov will earn a decent purse, Sean Strickland will definitely earn more than him. However, if a win will get them a title shot next, neither fighter will bother about the purse.
