After Episode 7, Team Chandler leads 7-0, winning all the contests. This has put the show and McGregor in a difficult position. With one fight left, McGregor could end up with no fighters in the competition after just the first round. And the Irishman even showed his concern about the issue.

Despite his best efforts as a coach, McGregor’s team of rookies struggled against the experienced campaigners. McGregor’s biggest bet was his teammate at SGB Lee Hammond. Unfortunately for Team McGregor, even Hammond could not get a win.
So with one fight left, McGregor’s number four seed Rico DiSciullo will take on Team Chandler’s number one seed Hunter Azure. Therefore, things are not looking good for Conor McGregor. The best lightweight on Chandler’s team will take on the worst-seeded lightweight on McGregor’s team. So could DiSciullo pull off the impossible?
DiSciullo comes into the contest with an 11-2 record. However, he is a talented all-round fighter. He has four wins by knockout, three wins by submission, and four wins by submission. So he has all the tools to beat Hunter Azure.
Despite this, we do not see Team McGregor making a comeback in the series. Even if DiSciullo wins the next fight, it is very difficult for him to win the semi-finals and the finals. Moreover, a single win does not entail a comeback. Thus, despite his achievements in his own career, it appears that Conor McGregor, the coach, is not as successful.
