Francis Ngannou aims to go one better than Conor McGregor

Ngannou is not the first former UFC fighter to crossover into boxing. Conor McGregor was the first, and it became a global blockbuster. The Irishman took on Floyd Mayweather back in 2017 and played his part in promoting the event. However, while he earned a fortune for that fight, he still lost in the tenth round.

After McGregor, the next UFC champion to switch to boxing was former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. Woodley faced Jake Paul in two fights. He lost the first by decision and the second by knockout. After him, Jake Paul then faced two more UFC fighters.

‘The Problem Child’ took on former champion Anderson Silva and outclassed him. And most recently, Paul took on Nate Diaz and dominated him. Therefore, all these fights showed that is not easy for an MMA fighter to switch over to boxing.

Moreover, Ngannou is facing one of the best boxers in the world, who is still in his prime. Fury is no easy fight. He moves like a lightweight and is awkward. It will be extremely difficult for the former UFC heavyweight champion to beat ‘The Gypsy King.’

However, Ngannou is confident in his extreme power. The Cameroonian possess unbelievable power that could knockout anyone. Thus, this weekend, the former UFC champion will hope that he can land a few of those and do something that no UFC fighter has done before.
