The fight Michael Chandler had with Conor McGregor is still on his mind.

On Sunday, Chandler reacted to a tweet from McGregor stating that his next fight would take place at 185 pounds.

In a letter expressing his agreement, Chandler wrote, “185 would be great… finally an easy cut after 22 years of hard weight cutting.”

The following bout between McGregor and Chandler is scheduled, however, McGregor has been taking his time returning to the USADA testing pool. Both of them have competed at 155 pounds, but McGregor informed him that the bout would take place at 170 on the first episode of The Ultimate Fighter.

Michael Chandler accepts Conor McGregor fight at 185 lbs

Following Sean Strickland’s unexpected victory over Israel Adesanya to win the title, McGregor wrote a string of statements on X, the site that replaced Twitter.

The Notorious appeared to take little time in making suggestions about maybe moving up to the 185-pound weight class.

Fans had numerous reactions to Michael Chandler’s recent post about the fight which might never take place. Someone commented, “ you are not that guy pal.”

Compared to the weight classes we are used to seeing him in, that would be a significant increase.

He joined the UFC at featherweight 145 pounds, where he earned his first championship.

The 35-year-old increased his weight to 155 pounds, where he won the lightweight category.

He faced Nate Diaz in 2016 and won at welterweight (170 pounds).

Moreover, two years have passed since McGregor last competed in the UFC, losing to Dustin Poirier through a doctor’s stoppage after breaking his leg.

The most recent information is that he has not yet returned to the USADA testing pool, thus delaying his return to the Octagon.

Nevertheless, this hasn’t prevented him from teasing his upcoming promotion plans.

Following his unexpected victory at UFC 293, McGregor has also been talking a lot about Strickland on his social media.

When he will really visit the Octagon is still uncertain.
