Khabib Nurmagomedov makes a comeback, partnering with Islam Makhachev for UFC 294
‘The Eagle’ will be involved in the fight camp of his close friend and teammate, Islam Makhachev, as he prepares for his title rematch at UFC 294.
In an interview with ESPN MMA’s Brett Okamoto, Islam Makhachev shared his enthusiasm about Khabib Nurmagomedov joining the team.
“He will come tomorrow. We waiting for him. Yeah, tomorrow he will come to Dubai. With us in the camp. He’s gonna be here. He’s not gonna be my corner of course, but he will be here to help. We have couple more guys gonna fight other organizations here in Abu Dhabi. I don’t know fight day where he’s gonna be but next two weeks he’s gonna be here with us.” Islam Makhachev said
Islam Makhachev is considered one of the dominating fighter in the lightweight division and has a strong connection with UFC icon Khabib Nurmagomedov, being both a longtime teammate and friend.
