Kamaru Usman Opens Up to Mike Tyson About Loss to Leon Edwards: An Honest Take

During their conversation, Mike Tyson shared an interesting anecdote about his own experience with loss. He explained that after losing his first fight to Buster Douglas, he surprisingly started making more money than before. This was due to the fact that Tyson’s loss created an opportunity for bettors to wager on him being defeated in future fights, thus increasing the financial stakes. On which Usman who recently lost his second fight against Edwards join in to talk about the loss.

Usman stated, “I feel like I’m kind of in a space where it was almost like people were more upset that I lost than I was. People were devastated and I get all the messages all the time ‘no you are good, you gonna get this back, and this and that.’ And I’m fully aware that I’m the best welterweight fighter for sure in the division.” (From 25:20)
