After winning two straight fights, including a sensational head-kick knockout of Dustin Poirier at UFC 291 that earned him the coveted “BMF” title, Gaethje (25-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC) is in high spirits. His standing as the top contender in the lightweight class has been cemented by his recent victory.

At UFC 294’s main event in Abu Dhabi, Islam Makhachev (25-1 MMA, 14-1 UFC), the current lightweight champion, also made headlines by knocking out Alexander Volkanovski in the first round with a head kick.
