Details of Road To UFC Asia

The episodes will air on May 27-28 across Asia on UFC broadcast partners. Episode 1 features some exciting matchups, including a flyweight bout between Top Noi Kiwram  and Nyamjargal Tumendemberel. The featherweight tournament opens with Yi Zha vs Wuziazibieke Jiahefu, while fan favorite Mark Climaco takes on JungHyun Lee at flyweight. Keisuke Sasu and SangWon Kim face off in a pivotal featherweight bout.  

However, for Indian fans Episode 2 will be highly anticipated as it will showcase India’s Sumit Kumar in a flyweight matchup against SeungGuk Choi. This is a moment Kumar and his fans in India have been eagerly awaiting. 

Other bouts include welterweight Taiyilake Nueraji vs HanSeul Kim, flyweight Ji Niushiyue vs Billy Pasulatan, and featherweights Yibugele vs Kouya Kanda. The featherweight tournament continues with Li Kaiwen taking on Lu Kai.  

Each episode airs in primetime across Asia, allowing fans to get familiar with the athletes through pre-fight features. The “win and advance” format means the winners move on to face each other, until one is left standing in each weight class earning a UFC contract.
