Poirier and McGregor’s history in UFC

For better or worse, all three of Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor’s fights against each other during their UFC careers have been very exciting. Two of their three matches have been won by “The Diamond,” with the Irishman taking the victory in their first encounter in 2014.

Poirier defeated the two-division champion at UFC 257 in just the second round. McGregor was successfully imprisoned by “The Diamond,” which made it simpler for him to win via knockout. However, the SBG Ireland product utterly failed to counteract the star’s leg kicks, which was an uncharacteristically poor performance from the champ-champ.

At UFC 281, “The Diamond” faced Michael Chandler in his most recent Octagon appearance in a highly anticipated contest. After a challenging and competitive fight that went into the third round, Poirier defeated his opponent by submission at the two-minute mark of the third round.
