Dillon Danis On Saturday was a complete misfit with no boxing. In their Misfits Boxing co-main event, Logan Paul easily defeated Danis despite Danis’s refusal to strike and preference for searching for takedowns and chokes. Danis’ antics prevented Paul from winning by unanimous decision and necessitated his disqualification.

More rivalry existed between Paul and Danis than between Paul and a punching bag. Danis, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor, averaged two punches every round, but Paul outlanded him by a ratio of almost 20 to 1. The attempts by Danis to apply a body lock takedown and a guillotine choke—both of which failed—were his most intriguing moments.

In the co-headlining match on Saturday,Dillon Danis lost against Paul via disqualification due to a lacklustre performance. Danis, who was making his professional boxing debut, was severely outworked and outstruck for the first five rounds before starting a brawl inside the ring with a failed takedown and a failed guillotine choke attempt. The fight was ultimately called off as security stormed the ring, giving Paul the victory and disqualifying Danis.

Despite denying trying to apply a guillotine choke, Danis said on Tuesday that his botched takedown attempt was him “just messing around a little bit, letting him know what a real fight is.”

Danis repeatedly emphasised that boxing is only “half of a fight” and challenged Paul to face him again, but this time according to the rules of mixed martial arts. He said if it was MMA he was competing in against Logan Paul, he would have ended the fight in under a minute.

Paul declared his intention to fight American champion Rey Mysterio when he returned to the WWE. Paul declared that if Danis gave up all of his money, he would be willing to fight in mixed martial arts and return to boxing for a showdown versus Conor McGregor.
