Nate Diaz will be making his pro-boxing debut but he has been a prolific striker in the UFC for years. That said, Francis Ngannou justified his prediction while chatting with the DAZN MMA.
The former UFC heavyweight champion said, “Originally, I would go for Nate Diaz, but Jake Paul has been proving himself,”
“I think you really have to count him in, he has proven that he’s a boxer now. He’s not just a YouTuber, he’s a legit boxer now.
“I count him in, but I’ve still got Diaz.”
Meanwhile, Jake Paul has reacted to Francis Ngannou’s prediction and doesn’t seem angry at ‘The Predator’. On the contrary, he explained why he likes Ngannou.
Turning to Twitter, Jake Paul wrote, “I just read that Francis Ngannou has Nate Diaz beating me….that’s why I love him. We are part of the same company now but he still keeps it real with his opinion.”
As per reports, Jake Paul has also signed a deal with PFL and shall make his MMA debut in 2023 or early 2024. He has also launched the super fight division, which shall regulate differently from the PFL Regular season.
Francis Ngannou will be taking part in the super fight division and will also be allowed to participate in boxing matches outside. While Jake Paul is a part owner of the PFL, Francis Ngannou is a member of the PFL Global Athlete advisory board and the chairman of PFL Africa.
