Dana White Got Call From Mike Tyson After He Openly Mocked The Idea of Fighting Against Roy Jones Jr.

In a recent episode of the HotBoxin podcast featuring Mike Tyson, a noteworthy guest appearance was made by the UFC President. During the podcast, the UFC President recounted a captivating anecdote that revealed an unexpected turn of events. It all began when he received a phone call after he had openly ridiculed the notion of Tyson participating in a fight against Roy Jones Jr.

In the episode, White shared that he was opposed to Tyson participating in the Roy Jones Jr. rematch. Whited stated, “I was totally against it, I didn’t want him to fight and I kept saying I don’t think Mike should fight and one day Mike calls me and said stop saying this I’m fu**ing grown up man. If I wanna fight I’ll fight. And because he felt like I was sh*ting on the fight but I didn’t want him to fight.”

Instead, he proposed an unconventional alternative to Tyson. Coinciding with Shark Week, he orchestrated an opportunity for Tyson to partake in shark-related endeavors in the Bahamas. In response, Mike Tyson openly conveyed that, over the course of his life, he had grown accustomed to fighting and the physical challenges it presented, which he had found a certain familiarity and comfort in.

However, White’s proposal to engage with sharks presented a daunting prospect. This unique experience stirred within Mike a deep-seated fear, an emotion he had rarely encountered before in his life of combat and challenges.
