Conor McGregor took to Twitter to praise and Ian Garry for an incredible night out at UFC 276. While calling him a “potential” future UFC champion, McGregor said:
“Ian Garry was incredibly impressive this weekend. Fully immersed in it all. Enjoying every second. Willingness to engage / commit. The Potential for another “future” Irish mma ufc champion rose by a real nice margin this weekend. Congrats Ian, keep going brother!”

Conor McGregor: Young Irish Prodigy Ian Garry impresses IRISH LEGEND, wants to fight on same card with Mystic Mac
Receiving praise from Conor McGregor certainly meant a lot to Ian Garry. Moreover, The Young Irish prodigy owes a lot of his inspiration to ‘Mystic Mac’ who has transcended the sport of MMA and he wishes to compete on the same card as McGregor one day.
During a recent appearance on The MMA Hour, Ian Garry suggested that he’s unsure of when he’d like to return to the octagon. He said:
“I can’t wait for me and him to get on a card together, whenever he’s back. That would be massive for the Irish as well. That’d be massive for me. It would be a dream come true to share a card with the guy who inspired me to do this, to follow my dreams. I’ve always had a violent mind and a way to show that off, and MMA is that perfect place for me.”
It’s safe to say that Ian Garry has high ambitions and just like his fellow Irish Man, Conor McGregor, the 24-year-old does not lack self-confidence. It will be interesting to see whether or not his dream of fighting on the same card as McGregor and getting his hands on the UFC gold will come to fruition or not.
