Conor McGregor, a former UFC double champion, appears to be getting back to his previous self. Following a serious ankle injury sustained during a TKO loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021, the charming Irishman keeps hinting about a comeback to the Octagon. Most probably with UFC 300.

A 2024 comeback for McGregor has been hinted at by the UFC, but it is unknown when, where, or against whom the 35-year-old will square off.

Both Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor have shown interest in meeting for the fourth time at the soon-to-be historic UFC 300 event.

UFC Fans Highly Expect To See Conor McGregor At UFC 300

Since his announcement of his return earlier this year, Conor McGregor has been involved in many bout conversations. His chances of making a comeback are heating up, since he hasn’t battled inside the octagon since suffering a terrible leg break more than two years ago.

All the evidence led to Michael Chandler being his opponent on his comeback, but that fight seemed less and less plausible by the day. The two appeared together on screen in the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter, and it was announced that they would fight after the program concluded, but that hasn’t happened yet.

Dustin Poirier has put his name in the hat, and both fighters are open to the prospect of facing off for the fourth battle at the next UFC 300 event, given the uncertainty surrounding McGregor’s next opponent.

In less than two months, 2023 will come to a close, and fans are already excited about what the UFC has planned for 2020. Dana White has already revealed a number of eagerly awaited bouts for the beginning of 2024, but one particular event is drawing the most attention.

The historic UFC 300 event is scheduled for April 2024, if the UFC’s pay-per-view schedule remains unchanged. The mixed martial arts world has discussed possible main event bouts as the milestone draws near.

McGregor is one individual who is still brought up.
