Conor McGregor was spotted making Anthony Joshua drink his Irish stout. Carl Froch doesn't seem to have liked it

Conor McGregor grabbed a lot of the spotlight when he accompanied Anthony Joshua after the former heavyweight champion’s 7th-round KO over Robert Helenius on August 12.

The UFC star was promoting his stout brand Forged Irish, bringing his own ring girls sporting his brand’s merch. Former world champion Ebanie Bridges was amongst the ring girls beside McGregor.

Meanwhile, Conor McGregor also went to the ringside for Joshua and made the boxer drink his stout after the bout. A week after the fight, ex-super middleweight champion Carl Froch has put massive accusations against Conor McGregor.

‘The Cobra’ told “Don’t go over to Conor McGregor, who’s trying to steal the show. Making a really expensive suit look really cheap cause he just looks like a scruffy bast**d, standing around at ringside. Shouting and talking bollocks and trying to be centre of attention.

“He [Anthony Joshua] shouldn’t have drunk that stout cause that stout could have been contaminated.”

Anthony Joshua appeared to relish Conor McGregor’s presence by his side. The Briton earned his second consecutive win after losing the rematch against Usyk in Jeddah. Furthermore, ‘AJ’ scored a knockout after more than two years since stopping Kubrat Pulev.

Although Robert Helenius isn’t a top-rated heavyweight, Joshua’s KO win was much-needed for his career’s resurrection.

As for Conor McGregor, his brand garnered a lot of attention from the boxing community. Now, the MMA community seemingly wants to see him return.
