The 35-year-old clarified that he is 100% getting an Undisputed UFC title fight and UFC President Dana White is working on it. He later mentioned he doesn’t bother if Leon Edwards will be the champion or not, he will fight for the gold upon his return.

The Chaos explains why he is a suitable opponent for Leon Edwards

Many might think Colby Covington is not the right person to face the UFC Welterweight champion Leon Edwards next. With the UFC welterweight division stacked with potential fighters, many might opt to give others who deserve a title shot. But, Chaos thinks he is the right choice to get a title shot.

“Look at my resume, man. All my last fights, they’re not just contenders I’ve been beating, I’ve been beating first-ballot Hall-of-Famers. All my last fights, five world champions I’ve beaten in my last fights. Headlining pay-per-views, selling fights, no one wants to see anybody more in the division than they want to see me fight. Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington is the welterweight division and I can’t wait to get my undisputed title this summer.”

Colby Covington is a dominant fighter in the welterweight division and currently ranks #2 following Kamaru Usman. Meanwhile, other fighters like Kamzhat Chimeav, Belal Muhammad, and Gilbert Burns are strong opponents for Leon Edwards.
