On Saturday, October 21, as part of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, UFC will return to Abu Dhabi with UFC 294: Makhachev vs. Volkanovski 2. The event will take place at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island and feature another action-packed night of fighting.
Islam Makhachev will defend his lightweight championship against Alexander Volkanovski in the main event, and Khamzat Chimaev will make his long-awaited comeback to fight Kamaru Usman in the middleweight division.
This year also marks the 30th anniversary of UFC and the 5th edition of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, capping a long history of successful UFC events in Abu Dhabi. A jam-packed schedule of week-long citywide activations, including fan events, athlete meet-and-greets, fitness challenges, nightlife parties, F&B offerings, and much more, is planned.
