How Much Money Did Charles Oliveira Earn By Knocking out Dariush at UFC 289?
UFC 289 excited the fans as the former lightweight champion made his octagon return after a big loss to Islam Makhachev last year. This fight was crucial for Oliveira to mark his return and so did he. The former UFC lightweight champion added another victory to his record as he knocked out Beneil Dariush.
The co-main event started with Beneil Dariush grappling the Brazilian fighter. Soon, he dropped Oliveira on the ground and tried to hold his grip on him. He tried to deliver punches on the former champion, but, Oliveira escaped the hold. The “Do Bronx” picked up his momentum and turned the tables as he pushed Dariush to the cage. Oliveira delivered big punches and ended the bout with hammer fists to earn the first-round finish.
As per the reports, Charles Oliveira will get a base salary of $500,000 with an additional fight win bonus worth $50,000 and a sponsorship bonus worth 32,000. Being the No.1 in the lightweight division, Oliveira has bagged an insane amount of money adding his UFC 289 total to nearly $750,000. On the other hand, Beneil Dariush will earn a base salary between $300,000 to $350,000. He will also receive a sponsorship bonus worth $16,000 adding his estimated total to $400,000 for UFC 289.
