Canelo vs Nate Diaz: Boxing News: Canelo Alvarez is expected to return in May and defend his super middleweight titles against John Ryder in the UK. Canelo’s current promoter Eddie Hearn has hinted at hosting a fight between Diaz and Alvarez. That said, Canelo gave an update on those plans.

In a chat with Inside Fighting, the undisputed super middleweight champion said, “We’ll never know, but right now he’s not on my [radar]. Not right now. I have goals. Maybe later, maybe in the future but not right now.”

Nate Diaz finished Tony Ferguson in his last UFC fight and left the promotion as one of the biggest combat superstars. He is now viable to explore the boxing world, which shall fetch him numerous multi-million paydays.

Jake Paul’s name popped up as a potential opponent for Nate Diaz. Meanwhile, Canelo Alvarez’s statements can urge Nate Diaz to lace up the boxing gloves soon.

Canelo Alvarez has been recently exposed by Dmitry Bivol

Following his maiden career defense against Floyd Mayweather, Canelo Alvarez seemed invincible for several years. Although Erislandy Lara, Gennadiy Golovkin, and a few other boxers looked brilliant in the ring against him, none of them could vanquish Alvarez until Dmitry Bivol appeared. Bivol put his WBA light heavyweight strap on the line on Cinco De Mayo against Canelo and left the entire world in shock.
