ESPN MMA revealed that the likes of UFC Champion Islam Makhachev, Bellator fighter Islam Mamedov, UFC fighter Umar Nurmagomedov, and famous coach Javier Mendez will corner Usman Nurmagomedov in the fight.
Makhachev, who is fresh off his first title defense against Alexander Volkanovski, will be able to provide some good advice to Usman Nurmagomedov when it comes to defending his belt. Moreover, Islam Mamedov recently faced Benson Henderson and therefore, would be able to give great insight.
In addition, Javier Mendez is one of the best coaches in MMA. He corners Islam Makhachev and before that was part of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team for most of his fights. Therefore, the Bellator lightweight champion has an incredible team behind him for Bellator 292.

Will Khabib Nurmagomedov be in Usman Nurmagomedov’s corner for Bellator 292?
Unfortunately for fans and Usman Nurmagomedov, it appears Khabib Nurmagomedov is still on his hiatus from the sport as a whole. Khabib recently announced he was leaving the sport for good, in every capacity, including coaching.
As a result, Khabib did not feature in Islam Makhachev’s corner for his title defense and now will not feature in Usman Nurmagomedov’s corner for Bellator 292. However, given the firepower that Usman Nurmagomedov already has, it seems he will be just fine.
