While a conversation with InsideSport.IN, the 37-year-old talked about how it took 1 year to lock a deal with the promotion and the aftermath surgery.

Bhullar said, “The thing is I’ve been active the entire time. I haven’t been out for two years out of choice. You know, when you become a champion, you deserve championship money. So it was a business decision at first. And to get a new deal. I let my managers do one and I continued to train. Unfortunately, it took one year to get a new deal. I didn’t think it was going to take that long. And then after the year that we had a fight booked, then I got hurt.

And I had the first surgery of my life. Again, something I wasn’t able to control. But the entire time I’ve been training I’ve been wanting to fight every month. I’m like Okay, now I’ll get a contract now get a contract. I don’t know. Or two years. I’ve been off for three months because of my surgery. That was it. So it was frustrating for me. But I’ve been active the entire time I’ve been in shape I’ve been wanting to fight. And finally, now I have an opportunity.”

Arjan Bhullar is ready to face the toughest opponent Anatoly Malykhin

Arjan Bhullar is ready to make his return at ONE Friday Fights 22. He will be facing the toughest MMA fighter in ONE Championship Anatoly Malykhin. This will be the first time both men will face each other for the world heavyweight title. During Bhullar’s 2-year hiatus, Malykhin earned the interim heavyweight title knocking out some of the best opponents.

During the recent interview, Bhullar opened up that he wants to try his best to watch Anatoly suffer in a tense situation. He was asked if the Russian fighter is his toughest opponent. Answering the question, he said, Um, for sure, you know, I think he’s dangerous for sure. You know, how tough he is when, when, when things aren’t going well for him. And when he’s getting beat up? Let’s see how he responds to some of that stuff. We haven’t seen that. I want to see what he’s made up. And then we’ll decide how good he really is.

Currently, the betting odds for Arjan Bhullar vs Anatolu Malykhin is yet to disclose. However, fans have picked the Russian fighter machine as their favorite to win the match.
