Mayra Bueno Silva's recent main event victory over Holly Holm has been changed to a "No Contest."

UFC star Holly Holm’s victory over Mayra Bueno Silva is no longer valid as per the reports given out of failed drug test by USADA.

Bueno Silva defeated Holly Holm via submission in the second round on Tuesday, but the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) unanimously decided to rule it a no-contest.

In her main event match at UFC Vegas 77 on July 15, Bueno Silva used a ninja choke to submit Holm, but she had already tested positive for ritalinic acid. Ritalin, also known as methylphenidate and frequently prescribed to treat ADHD, has a significant urine metabolite called ritalinic acid. In August, Bueno Silva revealed to MMA Fighting that the chemical responsible was a three-year-old ADHD prescription.

After testing positive for a prohibited drug, Mayra Bueno Silva’s recent main event victory over Holly Holm has been changed to a “No Contest.”

On July 15, Bueno Silva submitted Holm with a standing ninja choke in the second round. As she advanced in the UFC’s bantamweight class, it was the biggest triumph of her brief career.

A potential candidate for the impending vacant bantamweight title fight scheduled for early 2024 was Bueno Silva. Although she beat Holm, her winning streak has now officially ended due to a failed USADA drug test prior to the fight.

The Bueno Silva vs. Holm fight was declared a “No Contest” by the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Tuesday morning. In addition to being suspended until November 29th, Bueno Silva was fined 15% of her fight purse.

Bueno Silva asserted that a prohibited drug in her ADHD prescription, which she allegedly submitted to USADA before the test, was the cause of the positive result. However, the positive result was affirmed after an appeal.
