Nassourdine Imavov (No. 12) and Kelvin Gastelum (No. 13) will face off in the middleweight class in what the UFC is referring to as a “contender match” as the first main event of 2023. Imavov is facing Kelvin Gastelum on a different career track and is riding a three-fight winning streak in the UFC octagon.
Nassourdine Imavov and Joaquin Buckley last squared off at UFC Fight Night: Gane vs. Tuivasa in Paris, France. Imavov won this contest by Unanimous Decision in his nation, catapulting him into the top 15 Middleweight rankings. Meanwhile, in Gastelum’s final fight, Robert Whittaker completely outclassed him in an all-around performance to win by a unanimous decision.
UFC Schedule: Dan Ige vs Damon Jackson
Dan Ige (15-6) desires a successful beginning to the year. He has won an impressive victory over Gavin Tucker, Edson Barboza, and Danny Henry. He is a formidable and all-around foe.
