UFC 283 Video: Brazilian fans disrespect the Flyweight champion
The Brazilian fight fans at the Jeunesse Arena event weren’t kind to Moreno, a Mexican-born fighter. While he was speaking with UFC color commentator Daniel Cormier, boos rained down on “The Assassin Baby.” Brazilian supporters disrespected Moreno to express their disappointment over Deivison Figueiredo’s defeat.
And as Moreno escaped the cage, he was compelled to go to the backstage exit while protected by security personnel. In the third round, Moreno landed a hard left hook and then appeared to jab his opponent in the eye, but the referee let the fight go on. Deiveson complained to the referee as Moreno pursued Figueiredo and eventually took the lead back. Until the following bell, Moreno kept Figueiredo on his back, giving him much control time.
The doctor examined Figueiredo’s eye before starting the fourth round. The doctor suggested that the fight be stopped because the patient’s vision was blurred. Brandon Moreno is back as the undisputed flyweight champion of the UFC.
