TwitchCon 2022: TwitchCon 2022 has been full of surprises. While some fans had an amazing experience at the event, meeting their favorite streamers, others had bad experiences with the Twitch staff. Recently, Twitch streamer TommyInnit took to his livestream to speak about the harrassment his fans faced from former Twitch partner JiDion. Although Tommy did not name the streamer explicitly, he did make it clear that he was rather upset by the fact that there was someone bullying his fans at the event.
TommyInnit expressed displeasure over his fans being harrassed at TwitchCon 2022
TwitchCon 2022 took place in Amsterdam recently, and fans seemed to quite the experience at the event. However, it recently came up that TommyInnit’s fans faced harrassment while waiting in queue to meet the streamer. The British Minecraft streamer took to his livestream to address the issue, expressing his displeasure about the fact that his fans had to go through all that to meet him.
Addressing the issue, TommyInnit apologized to his fans for not having taken care of the issue immediately. However, he explained that he felt immense rage when he heard that his fans had been harrassed by a bully at the event. He continued, saying that he did not want his fans to be made to feel bad for waiting in line to meet him.
“I won’t have it. Don’t make fun of people for being passionate about anything, being happy.”
Although he did not name JiDion, fans were sure that he was talking about the former Twitch partner, since he had a reputation for doing things like this. However, Tommy assured his fans that he would reach out to JiDion and ask him to remove the sections involving him and his fans from his TwitchCon video, since neither of them consented to being in the video in the first place.
While JiDion has not released his video yet, it remains to be seen if he complies with TommyInnit’s request.
JiDion previously received a Twitch ban for harrassing Pokimane online
This is not the first time a streamer has voiced their opinion against JiDion’s jokes, saying they took things too far. Back in January 2022, JiDion lost his Twitch partnership after he sent his fans to hate raid Pokimane’s chat.
After Pokimane returned from her first ever Twitch ban, JiDion sent his army of fans to spam “L+Ratio” on the OTV streamer’s chat. However, his fans took things too far and started harrassing Pokimane’s fans, to the point where she had to end her livestream early for the harrasment to stop. This earned him a Twitch ban which remains unrevoked till date. In fact, JiDion had appealed for his ban to be revoked recently, and according to the former Twitch partner, the appeal has been denied.
