Opting to bat, Karnataka was bundled out for mere 122 runs total against exceptional bowling from M Siddharth, and R Sai Kishore picked up 7 wickets in total. TN beat KAR: Baba Indrajith, M Siddarth & R Sai Kishore power Tamil Nadu to 8 wickets win over Karnataka
Manish Pandey led Karnataka opted to bat after winning the toss and faced a big blow in the first over when opener Samarth R was dismissed on a duck by Sandeep Warrier. In the 6th over, Karnataka faced another blow and was reeling 20/2 when skipper Manish Pandey walked out to the middle.
Pandey resurrected the innings with Rohan Kadam but Tamil Nadu bounced back again in the game after Washington Sundar broke the partnership. Pandey too departed at the score of 40 and then the duo of M Siddharth and R Sai Kishore rattled Karnataka’s batting order which eventually folded up at 122 runs. Barring skipper Manish Pandey (40) & Rohan Kadam (37) none of the batters managed to score in double-digit.
Coming to chase, Tamil Nadu too faced an early blow when V Patil removed skipper N Jagadessan at the score of 16. But with not many runs on the board, Karnatka failed to build the pressure. Later, B Indrajith (51*) and W Sundar (31*) helped the side get over the line in 28 overs with 8 wickets in hand.
