Karnataka state cricket association revealed a list of 35 members for the domestic tournament.
Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy
2021–22 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will be the thirteenth edition of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, a Twenty20 competition that is scheduled to start on 4 November 2021, with the final taking place on 22 November 2021. The tournament will form part of the 2021–22 Indian domestic cricket season, which was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in July 2021.
The tournament will be divided into six groups, with six teams in five Elite Groups and eight teams in the Plate Group. The winners of each Elite Group will progress directly to the quarter-finals, with the second-placed teams and the winner of the Plate Group playing in pre-quarters matches to determine the final eight teams. Tamil Nadu are the defending champions.
Vijay Hazare Trophy
The 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy will be the 20th season of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Mumbai are the defending champions. It is scheduled to run from 8 to 29 December 2021. The tournament will be divided into six groups, with six teams in five Elite Groups and eight teams in the Plate Group.
