What Happened?
The root cause for the major uproar was the a no-ball controversy that got the crowd entirely riled up. The incident took place in the 19th over when Avesh Khan bowled a full toss delivery to Abdul Samad. The on field umpire took no time to label it as a no-ball. But the visitors immediately reviewed decision. The third umpire then reversed the decision to rule it as a legit delivery.

The batter along with the square leg umpire was visually left bemused upon the reversal of the decision. The crowd who was witnessing the entire incident on the big screen immediately went wide after the atrocious no-ball call.

The crowd immediately reacted. They started to pelt the Lucknow Super Giants dugout with nuts and bolts. Soon they started to chant ‘Kohli Kohli’ towards the visitor’s dugout.
For the uninformed, Virat Kohli had a brutal spat with Naveen ul Haq and LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir just a week ago. While the spat was resolved, Kohli, Haw and Gambhir still continue to take sly digs at each other on social media.
