RR CEO Jake Lush McCrum spotted outside Chinnaswamy Stadium after RCB drubbing

RR’s poor form has left them languishing at eighth place on the points table, with only four points from nine matches.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) CEO Jake Lush McCrum found himself in the spotlight after RR’s crushing 12-run defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in IPL 2025. Following the loss at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, a viral video captured McCrum walking briskly towards a store outside the stadium. The footage, recorded by an RCB fan, quickly spread across social media, sparking speculation about whether he was looking to drown his sorrows after RR’s fifth consecutive defeat.

The match itself was a heartbreaking one for Rajasthan Royals. Chasing a target of 206, RR seemed to be in control early on, thanks to a blistering 49 off 19 balls from Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, the middle order faltered, and despite Dhruv Jurel’s composed 47 off 34 balls, RR fell short, finishing at 194/9. This loss equalled RR’s worst losing streak in IPL history, previously recorded in 2009.

RR’s poor form has left them languishing at eighth place on the points table, with only four points from nine matches. With a tough fixture against table-toppers Gujarat Titans coming up, RR will need a dramatic turnaround to salvage their season.

Rajasthan’s fate of qualifying for the IPL 2025 Playoffs also hangs in the balance. They can get to a maximum of 14 points if RR win all five remaining matches. However, it won’t ensure them a playoff spot. Instead, they will have to rely on other results to go their way.

With captain Sanju Samson also nursing an injury and no timeline on his return, RR face a tall task in their remaining five matches.
