Sharapova, Schumacher Police Case: According to Agarwal, the Russian tennis star and the German race driver had ties with M/S Realtech Development and Infrastructure (INDIA) Pvt. Ltd, who promised to build a project on Gurugram’s Sector 73, but despite taking money from the buyers, the project never came into existence. Having spent INR 80 lakhs on the fraud project, she also revealed that one tower in the project was set to be named after Sharapova, while another was confirmed to be named after Schumacher.
“We came to know about the project through advertisements and reached out to the company management after pictures of the project and a lot of false promises were made,” Agarwal told PTI.

“Sharapova and Schumacher as promoters of the project conspired with the buyers. It was mentioned in the brochure that she is promoting the project, and she also made false promises, had dinner parties with the buyers, and all this was done for the project, which never took off,” she further added.
Gurgaon Police opens probe – Gurgaon Police, who are currently investigating the fraud, have confirmed that the project was set to be completed by 2016 but it was never started.
“A tower in the project was named after Schumacher. The project was to be completed by 2016 but never took off. As per the court order, the FIR has been registered and we are reviewing the matter. The probe is on,” an inspector working on the case clarified.
