With Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler in excellent form at the top of the order, the Royals boast one of the strongest batting lineups in this IPL season. Sanju Samson, Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmeyer, and Dhruv Jurel make up the middle order, which is also quite powerful. Nearly every batter in the RR lineup has assisted in a victory and will be quite confident.
In spite of having a good batting lineup, the Rajasthan Royals have had trouble winning games. In their previous match at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, the Sanju Samson-led team fell short of the 155-run target. The Chennai Super Kings have been in excellent form lately, winning their previous three games straight. With half-centuries in each of his past four games, Devon Conway has been in superb form at the top of the order. Ruturaj Gaikwad, his opening partner, has also routinely delivered. The two will want to get CSK off to a strong start against Rajasthan Royals.
When facing one of his former teams, Ajinkya Rahane, who has played a lot of IPL cricket at the venue, would be hoping to keep up his impressive run. CSK’s bowling unit, however, is not very potent.
