Lionel Messi Transfer: Lionel Messi will be without a team this summer after his contract with Paris Saint Germain will end. PSG’s manager, Christopher Galtier confirmed earlier that the Argentinian will be leaving the French capital after this season. As a result, transfer rumors have been revolving around Messi and his former club Barcelona are favorites to sign him. Barcelona’s star striker Robert Lewandowski is also looking forward to uniting with Messi.

In an interview with SPORT, the Polish striker revealed that he is excited to link with Messi if he re-joins Barcelona. He said, “We have to wait to see if Leo comes to Barcelona. I hope he comes. Maybe something more concrete will be known in a few days.”
“I know that playing with him is very easy, because Leo can play with you from any position on the field at any time in the game. He is a player that any team would like to have. He’s not just a Barcelona legend, he’s the one who changed the club. It will be fantastic if he returns to Barcelona,” added Lewandowski.
Lewandowski has scored 23 goals in 33 La Liga games, helping Barcelona win the Spanish League. He is destined to win the Pichichi Trophy in his very first season, as he is 5 goals clear of 2nd-placed Karim Benzema with one more game to be played.

Messi had to leave Barcelona in 2021 after the club failed to register his contract due to La Liga’s strict financial regulations. He then joined PSG, signing a 2-year contract with the club. In the summer of 2023, the contract will come to an end and the 35-year-old will not be renewing it further.
He has multiple offers on his table, the most lucrative one coming from Saudi club Al-Hilal. The Saudi team is offering Messi around €1bn across three years. Big names like Cristiano Ronaldo are already playing in the league and Karim Benzema will be following his former teammate to join the league next season.
