Ronaldo, who joined the Riyadh club in December and scored 14 goals in 16 league games, suffered a muscular injury four days prior to Portugal’s European Championship qualifiers against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iceland in June.
As a result, he was given a rest before both games. Anderson Talisca, 38, stole center stage in Ronaldo’s absence and scored twice. He also gave Mohammed Marwan a third assist. Ronaldo’s move to Atletico Madrid?
Ronaldo reportedly wants to return to La Liga and has reportedly chosen Atletico Madrid as his next stop. Since he has a contract with Al-Nassr through 2025, he will need to find a method to exit the agreement.
If he succeeds in doing that and decides to join Atletico Madrid, the team will be able to sign him for free but will need to pay a high enough sum. Ronaldo will still have to accept a significant wage cut because Al-Nassr will be unable to cover his fee. It will be yet another topsy-turvy summer for CR7.
