United’s injury crisis continues as Pogba joins the likes of Fred and Scott McTominay, making all first-team central midfielders unavailable for the Manchester Reds. Though Pogba was replaced by Jesse Lingard, the move forced attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes to drop much deeper into the heart of the midfield.
Discussing the injury to MUTV after the game, Rangnick said: “He [Pogba] pulled a calf muscle. I fear he will not be available for Arsenal [on Saturday] or for Chelsea [on April 28].”
