The Season so far
Patna Pirates: Patna Pirates has been a team to beat this season. The team coached by Ram Mehar Singh, made a stunning move before the start of the season by letting go of their star raider Pardeep Narwal. Narwal has been instrumental in the team’s three title wins. However he was released and Ram Mehar Singh picked a team that lacked any big names. Once the season began, Patna Pirates proved that a team does not need any star power to perform well as Patna Pirates were on top right from the start.
Players like Prashant Kumar Rai, Monu Goyat, Sachin, Guman Singh and Mohamadreza Chiyaneh gave a collective performance throughout the season that made the team top the points table. Patna Pirates were the only team to bag 16 wins in the tournament out of their 22 games. They lost five games and managed to tie a solitary game.

Dabang Delhi: Dabang Delhi, the finalists of last year had a dream start to the season as they remained unbeaten in their first seven games of the season, in which they won five games and tied two. Naveen Kumar was the star in those games as he scored seven consecuitive Super 10s in these matches. With him in terrific form, he was carrying the entire team on his shoulders. However, he faced an injury and had to miss few games. That dented Dabang Delhi’s spirits as the team started losing games towards the business end of the tournament.
The team however managed to maintain their position at the top half of the table, thanks to their briliiant performance in the initial matches, that helped them finish in the second spot. The team won 12 games, lost six games and drew 4 matches.
