Indian skipper Rohit Sharma reached yet another landmark in Test cricket as he became the third Indian batter to stroke most sixes in the longest format of the game. Rohit overtook Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar who smashed 69 maximums in his entire Test career. The current Indian skipper is still behind MS Dhoni (78) and Virender Sehwag (90).

Rohit smashed his 70th Test maximum against Mitchell Starc during the fourth innings of WTC 2023 Final. Speaking about Rohit’s numbers in Test cricket, the right-handed batter has amassed 3416 runs in 50 games and manages a good average of 45.55. Apart from hitting 70 maximums, he has also stroked 366 fours in his Test career so far.
Chasing 444 to win, India have already lost one of their opener as Shubman Gill was scalped by Scott Boland. The batting team still has a big task ahead of them and the Indian batters will need to bat out of their skins in order to save or win this game.
