We do not have any information about the details of Ritu Phogat’s deal with Puma. However, fellow endorsee Virat Kohli secured a record-breaking deal with the brand back in 2017. According to some reports, the Indian cricketer agreed to an 8-year deal worth over 100 crore rupees or $12 million.

While it is certain that Phogat has not secured similar figures, it is still a big step forward in the right direction for female MMA fighters in India. Moreover, with Puja Tomar’s UFC deal, we could see her secure an endorsement of her own in the future.

So there you have it. We are now at a time where Indian female MMA fighters are getting similar deals to male cricketers. What do you make of this move? Do you think we will see more of the same for other fighters in the country?
