PSG won with a 4-2 scoreline against Nantes where Lionel Messi opened with a goal in the 12th minute and Kylian Mbappe ended the match with his record-breaking 201st goal 2 minutes into the injury time. After the match ended, PSG organized a celebratory ceremony at the Parc de Princes for the youngster. Following this, Lionel Messi took to Instagram to congratulate his teammate. Edinson Cavani, the previous record holder also came forward to congratulate his ex-teammate on social media as well. He wrote, “Congrats @k.mbappe for your new @psg record, bring PSG fans to the top. A huge goal hug.”
Edinson Cavani joined the club back in 2013 and he scored a total of 200 goals in the 301 matches he played. In 2020, he moved to Premier League and joined Manchester United where he stayed for 2 seasons. As of now, the prolific striker plays for the Spanish club, Valencia. The striker made history at PSG with just 7 seasons he stayed. During this time, he helped PSG win six Ligue 1 titles among which he played three seasons with Kylian Mbappe.

Whereas, it just took 247 games in 6 seasons to get 201 goals for Kylian Mbappe. He is also the top goalscorer for PSG in the Champions League with 34 goals. This season alone, till now he has scored 30 goals throughout all competitions. His achievements include being the top goalscorer in the last 4 seasons of Ligue 1 and he has also helped the team win four Ligue 1 titles after his arrival at the club.
With several world-class players, like Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Sergio Ramos in the team, PSG has qualified for the Champions League round of 16 where they will be facing Bayern Munich with a 1-goal deficit in the second leg.
