Liverpool’s midfield will be having new faces as three names, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and James Milner are set to leave. The contracts of all three players will be expiring at the end of the season. According to reports, Milner, who has spent more than 8 years at the Anfield will be joining Mac Allister’s current team, Brighton & Hove Albion.

Mac Allister came into the limelight after winning the World Cup with Argentina in 2022. The midfielder proved to be an influential figure in the middle for his team in Qatar. After the World Cup, teams like Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool showed their interest in signing the 24-year-old. However, Allister, who renewed his contract with Brighton in October 2022, decided to wait till the summer. His contract will expire in 2025, but there is a release clause, which will be activated at the end of this season.

Mac Allister wants to play in the UEFA Champions League next season and joining Liverpool will make him a regular there. Liverpool are currently 5th in the table but are only 1 point behind Manchester United, who are on 4th position.

Brighton are currently 7th in the Premier League table and close to finishing in a position where they can compete in European competition next year. Mac Allister, who has scored 10 goals in 32 appearances this season, has played a key role in Brighton’s success this year along with Kaoru Mitoma and Moises Caicedo.

Moises Caicedo is another name who is set to leave the Amex Stadium this season, with multiple teams like Manchester United and Arsenal keeping an eye on him. As a result, manager Roberto De Zerbi has told the Brighton board to block any bids for Kaoru Mitoma this summer as he doesn’t want to lose another big name.
