Liverpool are coming back from a comfortable 0-3 win over Leicester City. This has now brought their winning streak to 7 matches and unbeaten streak to 9 matches. They have mostly achieved this feat in the absence of Roberto Firmino, Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and the youngsters Stefan Bajcetic and Calvin Ramsey. Many of them are set to join after the season ends, while many are set to leave the club.
Thiago has been suffering from a persistent hip issue which has kept him out for a large part of the season. Keita picked up a muscle injury during the international break at the end of March. Oxlade-Chamberlain has spent most of his time at the club injured. Whereas, the youngsters is suffering from an adductor issue and Calvin Ramsey is suffering from a knee problem. All of them will miss the remaining part of the season including Saturday’s match against Aston Villa.
However, the club has already informed that Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Roberto Firmino are set to leave the club as their contracts end in June, this year. James Milner will also be leaving with them and all four players will get tributes at Anfield after the match against Aston Villa. Firmino could be making a cameo for his last match at The Reds’ home. Coach Klopp could bench Darwin Nunez to give Firmino one last go.

Nunez was already absent during their last match against Leicecster City because of a toe issue. Even if he is recovered, he could still be benched. Finally Liverpool have clicked with their team and win against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium came easily. Hence, the coach could be keeping the same team against Aston Villa on Saturday. There could be just one change as Firmino could come as a substitute of Luis Diaz.
Alisson will be taking his place under the crossbar as Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, and Robertson will form the back four keeping the strict defense line that helped Liverpool get clean sheets in their last three last matches. Salah, Gakpo, and Diaz will be leading in the front while Henderson, Fabinho, and Jones will help them form the midfield.
