League of Legends releases a new cinematic trailer titled “A Hero Awakens” for their Lunar Revel 2022 event – The Chinese Lunar New Year is just around the corner and Riot Games has announced a new event for this. Players can gain rewards for completing in-game tasks during this time. As is the tradition with Riot Games, they have released a new cinematic trailer to commemorate the release of this event. The cinematic video features many popular champions like Ezreal, Lux, and Lissandra. Here is a breakdown of the cinematic trailer.
Porcelain Protector Ezreal joins the Lunar Revel 2022 event
At the beginning of the video, Ezreal is shown as an explorer/adventurer who is fixing a unique porcelain artifact. As he is close to completion and takes a break, the blue snake glyphs on the white porcelain artifact come alive. At first, the blue snake glyph only traverses the surface of the vase but on getting caught under Ezareal’s gaze, it jumps out of the porcelain artifact.

The snake spirit then transforms into Lissandra, the Ice Witch in League of Legends. She can be seen in her Porcelain skin with beautiful white-blue porcelain designs but looks deadly and ready to attack him. To protect himself, Ezreal reaches out to hold a nearby gauntlet, which turns out to be another porcelain artifact with the tiger spirit. Although it protects him one time, Ezreal cannot activate it again to prevent Lissandra’s next attack. Thankfully, Lux arrives in the nick of time to protect Ezreal. She can also be seen in her Porcelain Protector skin and helps Ezreal survive Lissandra’s attacks.
At this point in the cinematic trailer, Ezreal realizes how to use the porcelain artifact gauntlet and wears it. Ezreal also ‘awakens’ into his Porcelain Protector form and is ready to fight the battle. They attack Lissandra using their ultimate skills but she dodges. Seeing odds stacked up against her, Porcelain Lissandra escapes while Lux and Ezreal look determined to capture her.
