Federer Nadal Doubles PRACTICE: All the four players have shared some great rivalries against each other over the last two decades and are termed as the ‘Big Four’ of Tennis. This year all the four players will be teaming up for Team Europe for the first-ever time in the history of the Laver Cup. While Federer, Nadal and Djokovic played in the past, Murray will be playing in the tournament for the first-time in his career. Apart from the four players, Team Europe also has the services of World No.2 Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Matteo Berretini, who will be the substitute player.

Federer and Tsitsipas were the first one to arrive in London and began their practice on Tuesday, while Djokovic and Murray joined them on Wednesday. Rafael Nadal however arrived in London only on Thursday morning and the full-strength Team Europe was involved in a practice session at the 02 Arena for one last time before the tournament gets underway on Friday.

Since it was open for the crowd, the seats at the indoor stadium were completely full as the crowd had a great experience witnessing some of the great Tennis players under one roof practicing together. The crowd erupted as all the players made their way into the court before beginning their practice.

Photos of the practice sessions that were uploaded on the social media handles of the Laver Cup showed the players enjoying each other’s company and the ‘Big Four’ posed for a few photos before beginning the practice. Federer and Nadal who are set to pair up for the doubles on Friday had a hit with Djokovic and Murray on the other side of the net, with Stefanos Tsitsipas occupying the chair of the umpire.

The Laver Cup gets underway on 23rd September with Casper Ruud taking on Jack Sock in the singles. Andy Murray also will make his debut in the tournament as he will face Alex de Minaur, before the much-awaited match of the night. Roger Federer will play his final game of his career by partnering alongside Nadal and the duo will face Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe.
