For ATK Mohun Bagan’s past season, the signing of Liston Colaco was a marquee move. The Kolkata giants decided to splash out on him after seeing him perform well for Hyderabad FC during the 2020–21 ISL season. They paid the largest transfer price ever for an Indian player to sign Colaco.

Colaco was brought in before the AFC Cup campaign and had an immediate good effect. He contributed to the setup with his aggressive approach and scored a goal during the group stage matches. After one year, Colaco has become one of the most important players for ATKMB and an integral team member. He is one of the most well-known players in Indian football due to his dependability.
During the entirety of the Indian Super League, Colaco scored eight goals while setting up six for his teammates. He performed exceptionally well during the AFC Cup as well. Colaco ended the campaign with four goals in three games including a hat trick against Basundhara Kings of Bangladesh. Colaco adds consistency to the rather fluctuating ATK Mohun Bagan attack.

Manvir Singh also saw his contract extended until 2027. despite sitting on a string of stale, poor performances recently. Playing over 40 League games for the outfit, the forward has only 12 goals. Although it seems like a rough patch, Singh needs to adjust to Juan Ferrando’s philosophy as early as possible to bolster their chances of the playoffs given the Mariners are without prolific strikers like Roy Krishna and David Williams.

ATKMB also extended their contract with Deepak Tangri till 2026. Last year, Tangri joined the Mariners. In the AFC Cup group stages, he made his team debut and played well in midfield. The teenage midfielder was signed more as a first-team regular than as a future star because he would eventually replace Lenny Rodrigues in the lineup. Tangri, though, continues to lack control and is not a master at neutralizing attackers. His flaws were very evident in both the ISL and the AFC Cup.
Tangri has continued to play a regular part in the ATKMB team throughout the year despite the inadequacies, and he is regarded as a vital member of the group.
