Arsh Shaikh, who started in place of Amrinder in the AFC Cup, lacked the experience required to take on the role of the team’s first-choice goalkeeper and the responsibilities that come with it.
As a result, Vishal Kaith, the previous goalkeeper for Chennaiyin FC, was persuaded to join the Kolkata-based team. Last season, Kaith made as many as 21 saves with a save percentage of 60. Boumous signed a five-year contract with ATK Mohun Bagan on July 8, 2021, for a record transfer fee of $280,000, breaking his previous season’s record. He made his debut for ATK Mohun Bagan in the 2021-22 season opener against Kerala Blasters on November 19, scoring twice in a 4-2 win. Playing 17 games last season Hugo scored five goals while bagging an identical number of assists. As the 2022-23 season began, he made his debut for the club on 20 August against Rajasthan United in the 131st edition of the Durand Cup, which they lost 3-2.
Boumous frequently picks the ball in the middle of the park or from a deeper position. He has the ability to hold the ball and make those surging runs through the middle, making him an exciting player to watch.

Ashique Kuruniyan
The versatile left winger previously played for Bengaluru FC. Ashique has established himself as one of the most dangerous Indian players in the ISL as a result of his flair, work rate, and on-ball work. On 20 August, he made his debut for the club against Rajasthan United in the 131st edition of the Durand Cup, in which his team lost 3-2. However, the youngster made a goal and an assist.

Joni Kauko
Kauko signed a two-year contract with Indian Super League club ATK Mohun Bagan , shortly after Finland’s elimination from Euro 2020. He was named to head coach Antonio Lopez Habas’s twenty-two-man squad for the team’s 2021 AFC Cup inter-zonal semifinal match against Uzbek side Nasaf, but they lost 6-0 and were eliminated from the tournament, in which he made his debut for the club.
Kauko made his Indian Super League debut against Kerala Blasters on November 19, scoring a 4-2 victory. On February 12, he scored his first goal for the club in a 3-1 win over NorthEast United. He scored from outside the box, leaving goalkeeper Subhasish Chowdhury rooted to the spot. He finished the league season with three goals and six assists in twenty appearances for ATK Mohun Bagan, who finished third in the standings and were eliminated in the semi-final playoffs.

Liston Colaco
In April 2021, it was officially announced that ATK Mohun Bagan and Hyderabad FC had reached an agreement on the transfer of Liston Colaco for an undisclosed fee of around 1 crore. This transfer broke the previous record for the highest transfer fee for an Indian player set by Manvir Singh’s transfer from FC Goa to ATK Mohun Bagan for 80 lakhs.
Colaco scored his first goal for the club against Maziya S&RC in the 2021 AFC Cup on August 21, 2021. On November 19, he made his debut for Mohun Bagan against Kerala Blasters, scoring a goal in a 4-2 victory. His goal in ATKMB’s 2-1 victory over FC Goa on December 29 was one of the fastest shots in game history, clocking in at 181 km/h, replacing former England national football team captain David Beckham in sixth place. He had an outstanding season, scoring eight goals and assisting three times, the most by a domestic player. He was one of the season’s standout performers.
Colaco scored a hat-trick in their 4-0 win over Bangladeshi side Bashundhara Kings in the second group-stage match of the 2022 AFC Cup on May 21, 2022.
