Klassen slammed his maiden IPL century in only 50 balls. Overall, the right-handed batsman scored 104 in just 51 balls. His innings included eight boundaries and six massive sixes. With the hundred, the SRH wicketkeeper batsman entered the IPL record books in style. He also became only the fourth Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman to slam a hundred in the IPL. Heinrich Klassen is the second batsman after Harry Brook to slam a hundred in the IPL 2023. The England batsman registered an unbeaten 100 against the Kolkata Knight Riders in the league match this season. Before Brook and Klassen, only two SRH batsmen registered a hundred in the IPL.
Former Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner is the only batter with two hundreds for the Orange Army. Warner’s first hundred came against the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2017. Warner, in the game, slammed 126 runs in only 59 balls. Warner’s second hundred for Sunrisers Hyderabad came against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2019. Warner scored an exact 100 runs in only 55 balls in the IPL 2019. In the same match, his opening partner, Jonny Bairstow, slammed 114 runs in 56 balls.
