Usman Khawaja said “IPL is strongest and best league in the world – there is no competition between IPL & PSL – the whole world comes to IPL – only league which Indians are playing which makes it the best”.

This statement from the Australian batters will surely not bear well with the Pakistani crowd and the Pakistani team. Khwaja is a part of the 18 membered Australian team, that has traveled to Pakistan after 24 years to play a test series in the country. The Australian team has been a bit skeptical about the relatively unknown foreign soil, as the Pakistan pitches are thought to be different in comparison to the Indian or Sri Lankan pitches.
The Australian team which will kick start their first test match at Rawalpindi on 4th March 2022 have begun their practice and training in full force. Following the three-match test series, the two teams will engage in a three-match ODI series followed by a solitary T20I.
Usman Khawaja was a part of a former IPL franchisee team Rising Pune Super Giants. His last association with the IPl was back in 2019 when he went unsold in the IPL Auction.
