IPL 2022 Remaining Purse: After last moment negotiations and fending off potential buyers in two new franchises, the existing IPL teams are now ready for a mega auction that will be conducted over multiple days in January. Punjab Kings with just two retentions will have the deepest pocket with Rs 72 Crore going into the auction while CSK, KKR, DC and MI will have the least with Rs 47.5 Crore available.

PBKS Remaining Purse – 72 Crore: Punjab Kings have retained Mayank Agarwal and Arshdeep Singh only, leaving them with the maximum purse in the IPL 2022 auction. As they retained only two players for an amount of Rs 18 Crore, they will have 72 Crore left in the auction, highest amongst all.

CSK Remaining Purse (Rs 48 Cr): Chennai Super Kings, who retained skipper MS Dhoni, all-rounder Ravinder Jadeja and Moeen Ali were retained apart from young superstar Ruturaj Gaikwad. As expected, first slot of Rs 16 Cr went to skipper MS Dhoni while Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali and Ruturaj Gaikwad occupied the remaining three slots.

RCB Remaining Purse – Rs 57 Cr: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have retained Virat Kohli (Rs 15 Cr), Glenn Maxwell (Rs 11 Cr) and Mohammed Siraj (Rs 7 Cr) for a combined amount of Rs 33 crore, leaving them with Rs 57 crore in the purse.

MI Remaining Purse – Rs 48 Cr: Mumbai Indians have retained Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Kieron Pollard and Suryakumar Yadav for a combined amount of Rs 42 Crore, leaving them with an auction purse of Rs 48 Crore.

KKR Remaining Purse – Rs 48 Cr- Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have retained Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Varun Chakravarthy and Venkatesh Iyer for a combined amount of Rs 42 Crore. That means KKR will be left with Rs 48 crore in their auction purse.

SRH Remaining Purse – Rs 68 Crore: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have retained skipper Kane Williamson, and two uncapped Indians in Abdul Samad and Umran Malik for a combined amount of Rs 22 Crore, leaving them with Rs 68 Crore in the auction.

RCB Remaining Purse: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have retained as expected Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and Mohammed Siraj for an amount of Rs 33 Crore, leaving them with Rs 57 Crore.

DC Remaining Purse – 47.5 Crore: Delhi Capitals have retained Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, Prithvi Shaw and Anrich Nortje ahead of the auction, leaving them with 47.5 Crore. For Axar Patel, despite paying him Rs 9 Crore, Rs 12 crore will be deducted from the purse as per IPL retention guidelines.

RR Remaining Purse – 62 Cr: Rajasthan Royals have retained Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, and Yashasvi Jaiswal for a combined amount of Rs 28 Crore, leaving them with 62 Crore.
