IPL 2022: Lucknow IPL franchise rolls on – Newest Indian Premier League franchise Lucknow is steadily growing its footprints ahead of its debut season in IPL 2022. While the RPSG-backed franchise has already confirmed its coaching staff besides the captain, on the commercial front, it has snapped up a Rs 27-Cr deal with MyCircle11 as title sponsor.
As per information available with InsideSport, the Lucknow IPL franchise has already sold 65% of its commercial inventory and the rest are selling like hotcakes.

Commenting on the partnership, Raghu Iyer, CEO, RPSG Sports said, “We are delighted to have My11Circle as our Principal Team Sponsor. We thank them for the faith they have shown in our new franchise and are confident that this will be a winning partnership.”
Furthermore, the Lucknow franchise has already closed a deal with a local oil brand for the right chest sponsor and an announcement will be made soon. The deal is also around Rs 30 crore figures.
Apart from that, the Lucknow franchise has already roped in Andy Flower as the head coach, Gautam Gambhir as the mentor and Vijay Dahiya as the assistant coach. KL Rahul is all set to lead the side but an announcement will only be made when BCCI gives green light to the CVC Capital-owned Ahmedabad franchise.

After shelling out Rs 7,090 crore, the team is now searching for the right name and on its Twitter handle, it has urged fans to come up with a unique name.
‘Naam ke Haqdaar, Pehle Aap’ and ‘Naam Banao, Naam Kamao’ – clearly indicating that management has started its activation to search for a NEW & RIGHT NAME for the Lucknow IPL Team – in real Lakhnawi andaaz.
The Twitter handle is the resurrection of RPSG-backed Rising Pune Supergiants that was defunct after BCCI welcomed back Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings after the betting scandal. The franchise is expected to announce the new name soon.
